Growth Groups
All of us long to grow and mature in our faith and in every dimension of our lives. One of the most effective ways is in small groups, where we have an opportunity to relate to 8-10 people in depth. We have a variety of growth groups. There are straight Bible studies (e.g. one is about to start the book of Romans, and another is working through John's Gospel). Others deal with specific and practical life issues (e.g. walking out of worry, exploring seniors issues).

HomeBuilders
The HomeBuilders Couples Series is a small-group Bible study developed by FamilyLife dedicated to making your family all that God intended. Whether you've been married for years or are newly married, this series will help you and your spouse discover timeless principles from God's Word that you can apply to your family.

Music
Our church choir practices are on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and new singers are always welcome. The choir leads worship at our 11:00 a.m. Sunday service. Our 9.30 a.m. service is led by a number of worship bands offering a vibrant contemporary style catering for all generations. Musical presentations are becoming highlights in Victoria's music calendar, and can be found in the events section.

Cridge College
Cridge Memorial Theological College offers B.Th. and M.Div. degrees through our Theological Seminaries in the U.S.A. Lectures and tutorials are offered on subjects such as New Testament and Old Testament Studies, New Testament Greek, Church History, and attended by students at the church.

Alpha
Click to go to Alpha's main pageAlpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, and means "beginning". This is an introduction to Christianity in a relaxed and friendly setting, usually with an evening meal, and offering the opportunity for open discussion about issues that affect all of our lives. We are just one of thousands of Alphas taking place all over the world, and something everyone should enjoy experiencing. Phone our office at 383-8915 for details.

Sanctuary Youth Centre
Sanctuary is an initiative by a number of Victoria churches and businessmen to benefit youth in need in the city of Victoria. The location at Church of Our Lord is within easy walking distance to the Victoria downtown core. Sanctuary provides a safe meeting place for young people who are isolated from mainstream society. The 1800 square foot facility provides an artistic environment with areas to kick back, grab a coffee, get a shower, do laundry, even access email. Visit the Sanctuary Youth Centre website.

Cridge Club for Seniors
Cridge Club provides a weekly event where seniors can get a excellent three-course lunch, followed by a sing-along, and then a talk by a professional on topics of particular interest to them. One week, a physician will tackle a subject like "falls and how to prevent them," next week, a lawyer may discuss "powers of attorney,", the following week, a minister could show the way to "aging with joy," and the fourth week is reserved for armchair travel. Slide shows on the program are "high Canadian arctic," "Jordan and Egypt," and "Indians of the Amazon." Cridge Club Events & Speakers Schedule.

Residential Care Visitation - Rose Manor, Glengarry Hospital, Douglas House, and Sunrise MiniCare Home
These homes are some of the senior residences for which we provide pastoral care and services. We also have trained counselors and visit to help with caring for sick in local hospitals and we also send cards, telephone, and visit shut-ins. For more information, contact the church office at 383-8915.

Prayer Chain
A prayer chain is a network of individuals who will receive prayer requests and forward them to the next available person in the network and will pray immediately for each request. All requests are kept confidential, only known by the individuals on the prayer chain.
